How it works
Before a trip, you set your trip goals: the things you hope to get from it.During the trip, you record short entries as time allows. Capture the moments that stand out while you travel: the good, the bad, and the unexpected.When the trip ends, a brief reflection shows how the experience compared with what you set out to do.

Travelwise Journal is a personal travel reflection journal and goals tracker. You log entries during and after trips, and set goals to reflect on. The app shows you stats and charts about your own travel patterns over time. Your data is yours; we don't sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.What We Collect
- Email address (and authentication tokens if using Google or Apple Sign-In; with Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your real email address)
- Trip details (name, destination, dates, type, companions, pace, optional details about itinerary you choose to provide)
- Journal entries (text you type, including any text entered via your device's built-in dictation)
- Post-trip reflections (text you type, including any text entered via your device's built-in dictation)
- Home country (set during onboarding or in Settings)
- Notification preferences
- Crash reports (anonymised, via Sentry)How We Use Your Data

Travelwise Journal is currently free to use. We don't run ads and we don't sell user data — period. If we introduce a subscription in the future to support ongoing development, we'll update this policy and notify you in the app before it affects you. (This applies to Travelwise Journal itself; third-party services we rely on to run the app — listed below — have their own separate privacy policies.)Third-Party Services

Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Row-level security policies ensure you can only access your own data.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, we recommend against entering highly sensitive information into your entries, such as passwords, credit card numbers, passport numbers, or government ID numbers.Your Rights
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account
- Deleting your account permanently removes all your trips, entries, insights, and personal data
- You can request an export of your data by contacting usChildren
Travelwise Journal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.Changes to This Policy
